Crescent Consulting founded a number of industry meetup groups as well as network and thought leader events such as our annual ‘Pathways to CIO’ event, which provides a safe space for technical leaders to network. All of these groups are managed and promoted by Crescent Consulting and have been running for more than 10 years, connecting people in the industry.
Women in Tech Christchurch
When a group of professional women help and support each other, amazing things can happen. That’s what Women in Tech Christchurch is all about. We share the challenges we face as well as our success stories and have fun along the way. This group is a safe networking space for women at all levels in the tech industry, from leadership level to students who are interested in entering the industry. This group includes women in ICT and Engineering areas but also welcomes women who are working in fringe areas.
We aim to have monthly meetings sponsored by innovative companies in the community.

With many Christchurch based FinTech companies having their customer base outside of NZ it can make things pretty lonely here. The Christchurch FinTech meetup group provides the opportunity to network with likeminded people locally. This group is set up as a purposeful networking group for women who are leading tech and digitally focused companies in Christchurch.
The group is ‘invite-only’ and welcomes women who are leading their organisation including founders, those in the C-suite, General Managers and leaders of the Christchurch subsidiaries of national and global companies. It provides a safe place to build relationships, gain support and learn from each other.
This group meets monthly and is hosted by local companies whose leaders are keen to present on a topics of interest.
Crescent Consulting Pathways to CIO
This is an annual event hosted by Crescent Consulting with inspiring leaders presenting on their journey and career steps, navigating challenges and obstacles on the way. This group is ‘invite only’, attracting leaders in the industry who are aspiring to move to tech C-Level.
This is a very popular networking event for Christchurch based senior professionals.
